My first attempt at this year's homemade Thanksgiving cookies....which I made while watching WVU lose to Cincinnati on Friday, November 13.

To make my "Corn Family" cookies, I found a cute graphic on the internet that I printed out on my computer. Then I made my own cookie cutter by laminating the picture. I used it as a "cookie cutter" by cutting the dough around the laminated picture with a butter knife.
Next, I made my homemade icing and used Wilton's food colorings that I piped into Ziploc bags.
Finally, it was picture-taking time. I had to tell Emily and Dave to "not eat the cookies until I take a picture for our website".
This is so much fun for Emily and I to do together.
Cooking, crafts and sewing are great experiences that many children sadly don't do today. We are making sure Emily gets lots of experiences in her homeschool education!!!

To end our monthly literature unit this week on "The Secret Garden", we went
to The World of Orchids to study different plants and flowers from around the world.

References from current piano students in Celebration can be provided. I am flexible on lessons being taught in your home or mine. Tuition discounts are available for enrollment for multiple children. Piano lessons are year round.
