I have put together my own geography/world cultures study using lessons such as "Christmas Around the World" lapbook units and integrating geography, culture, religion, etc into the mix. We are just finishing up this unit which covered Germany, Italy, Mexico, and France!
Social Studies and cultural education are fun for us! Check out

I have recently fallen in love with Victorian shabby chic decorating. Over the past month, I have been painting everything white, adding lace, quilts, and rhinestones to my furniture, decor, and more!
I even incorporated some Victorian lesson plans into our homeschooling, which is so much fun!

Baking a WVU yellow cake, Chex mix, and chip dip for today's tailgate. It will be cold for those of us used to Florida temps, but we will layer tons of clothes on to keep warm today!

Is this Central Florida or the North Pole? Breaking records this season for cold weather. The farmers are really feeling the pinch too so you can expect to pay higher prices for citrus, strawberries and tomatoes as those crops are all being damages by this never ending cold spell we have had this year.
BAD BOWL GAME, BUT GOOD SEASON

The bowl game was horrible but we had a wonderful Christmas season regardless!
The weather was perfect on Christmas Day but frigid for the Champs Bowl. We visited with some old friends and tailgated.
On Christmas we ate too much as usual. Then it was time to open gifts. It took forever to do this because for some reason everyone went way over board this year and bought so many gifts!!!

Okay, I just watched the TV show "The Doctors" and they promoted some new diet called "The 17 Day Diet" by Dr. Mike Moreno. I couldn't be more excited for Miss Nebraska, Teresa Scanlan. As a former local-level contestant in the pageant, I am thrilled to see this fellow Christian pianist win Miss America. And by the way, Scanlan was home schooled up to her junior year in high school...which is icing on the cake!! :)

Yep, that's me! I couldn't be more excited when I find a grocery item is on sale (BOGO preferably) and I have two coupons! That's what my daughter and I call a "Double Whammy"!!! I find my printable grocery coupons online and print the items I need.
